Course Description
This laboratory course is designed to address the textiles and apparel industries, textiles design and production, apparel design practices and influences, and career preparation. This course includes knowledge and skills of the design industry, fibers, fabrics, textile and apparel manufacturing systems, marketing techniques and technology applications in the industry. The laboratory experience stresses basic construction techniques and skills. Students must provide materials for construction projects. Class enrollment is limited.
