AP Economics (Macro) (Period 3)

Course Description

Macroeconomics gives the student a thorough understanding of the principles of economics that apply to the functions of individual decision-making, both as consumers and producers. It places primary emphasis on the structure and functions of product markets and includes the study of supply and demand, firm production, costs and revenues, product pricing, and outputs in both the individual firm and the market. The study also includes the role of government in promoting greater efficiency and equity in the market. Students will be prepared to take the Advanced Placement Macroeconomics examination.
